skip navigation community websites a-z login not a member: request membership epsom and ewell health walks home programmes and reports maps cancellation of walks news faqs agm 2018 agm 2017 agm 2016 agm 2015 agm 2014 agm 2013 agm 2012 walking partnership privacy statement welcome to epsom and ewell health walks epsom and ewell health walks (eehw) is run by a group of volunteers and offers a programme of health walks throughout the epsom and ewell area on three days of the week: mondays 1/2 hr walks, wednesdays 1 hour walks and sundays 1 hour walks. all walks start at 10.00. these walks are ideal if you are new to walking or recovering from illness and want to get fitter gradually without doing strenous gym exercises or keep fit classes. walks are suitable for all levels of fitness, and ages. walks take place at 17 different locations throughout epsom and ewell and the surrounding area including epsom downs, oxshott heath and horton country park. we use footpaths and open ground where possible. the monday 1/2 hr walks are suitable for you if recovering from illness or if you are not so fit. the longer one hour walks, on wednesdays and sundays, cover 2 to 3 miles at a reasonable pace with support from leaders and others. its a great way to make friends and meet new people. in due course you may consider becoming a trained walk leader offering support and encouragement to new walkers. all our walks are mapped out, have been risk assessed and are led by trained walk leaders. they also have a back marker to ensure that no-one is left behind. attendances are highest on wednesdays and so a third person acts as middle marker then and, for the more popular locations, we provide a second walk leader so that the group can be split if it is large. open to all ages (although children must be accompanied by an adult), everyone welcome. walks are free and there is no need to book. just turn up at the location shown in the latest walks programme below in time to start walking at 10am. when you come on your first walk, please arrive by 9.45 to complete a registration form. it would save time if you were to print this form, complete it and bring it along to your first walk - a copy is available here . walking shoes or boots are advisable but not essential. a general map showing the location of all our walks allhealthwalklocations.pdf maps, postcodes and hilliness for individual locations . the full walks programmes for spring 2018 onwards are available here : summer 2018 programme (jul-sep 2018) . we have also started running 1 hour walks in horton country park one tuesday a month. these start from the old moat garden centre and cafe, horton lane, kt19 8pq. they are aimed at clients of the richmond trust which is based there and helps those with mental health problems. these walks are not included in the programme but are open to all. they start at 10.00 and are planned for tuesdays 17 july, 21 august and 18 september. spring 2018 programme (apr-jun 2018) including further details of agm previous programmes our constitution is here eehw constitution 2016 . this incorporates some changes that were agreed at our 2016 agm . join in now you'll be most welcome. for further details contact 020 8393 4638 email : [email protected] . this is our email for all enquiries and comments. your comments and suggestions for our walks are welcome. provided by surreycommunity using cambridge open systems technology. terms and conditions | privacy | cookies | leave feedback
